If the receipt date on your Receipt Notice shows an earlier date and thirty days have passed since that receipt date, please send an inquiry to fax number (949)389-3485. If you applied after the indicated date, we are not processing your case at this time. Example: Look at the top lines of your receipt. If you filed Form I-90, and the report says that the service center is processing cases with your Receipt Notice date, you should hear from us within thirty days. Due to a significant increase of incoming mail at the Service Center, your receipt notice, acknowledging acceptance of your application or petition, may be delayed. We are expanding our fee receipting capabilities by adding more contract staff, additional data entry workstations and expanded hours of operation. The chart below indicates what applications/petitions are experiencing a delay and the approximate dates the mailroom is currently processing. We regret any inconvenience this situation has caused you. Please allow 5 – 7 business days from the date shown to actually receive your notice in the mail.
If your check or money order has not yet been cashed, please do not cancel it. Canceling your payment could result in the amount being processed as a bounced check and you may be issued a bill automatically with a $30.00 processing fee. |
