Download the DocumentPursuant to section 132 of the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2022 (P.L. 117-42), USCIS released a report entitled “Application Processing” for Fiscal Year 2022 to Congress. The report outlines the expenditure plan for the $250 million provided by Congress to USCIS to support application processing, which includes the reduction of backlogs within asylum, field, and service center offices, and to support the refugee program that is included in section 132 of the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2022 (P.L. 117-43). USCIS also included a spending plan for the $345 million requested in the FY 2022 President’s Budget to show the comparison.
