AILA Submits Amicus Brief Supporting Challenge to Iowa Law

AILA filed an amicus brief in Iowa Migrant Movement for Justice v. Attorney General of Iowa in support of the American Immigration Council and the ACLU in their lawsuit challenging Iowa's egregious attempt to enact and enforce its own immigration law. Under this Iowa law, state authorities can imprison and deport from the United States anyone who has previously been removed from the country, even if the person's current immigration status is entirely legal.
