Supreme Court Allows Cancellation of TPS for Venezuela

The U.S. Supreme Court granted a stay of the 3/31/25 order issued by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California pending the disposition of the appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. (Noem, et al. v. National TPS Alliance, et al., 5/19/25)

Judge Chen of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California granted the plaintiff's motion to postpone the DHS Secretary's decision to vacate the termination of the TPS Venezuela 2023 designation, which was set to be terminated on April 4, 2025.
