Download the DocumentAILA and the Council submitted comments opposing EOIR’s proposed rule that would increase the filing fees for forms and motions filed with EOIR (EOIR Docket No. 18-0101, EOIR; Fee Review; 85 Fed. Reg. 11866 (Feb. 28, 2020)). Stating that the proposed fee increases will have a substantial negative impact on the ability of noncitizens and U.S. citizens perceived to be noncitizens to access immigration courts, AILA and the Council urged EOIR to withdraw the proposed rule.
