CBP Officer Involved in Fatal Shooting at Calexico West Port of Entry

CBP announced that an officer and a contracted security guard were involved in a fatal shooting at the Calexico West port of entry on July 9, 2020. The shooting occurred when the officer and the guard encountered a man brandishing a knife. The officer involved is on administrative leave.
