2017 USCIS Forms Updates

December 21, 2017
USCIS posted a notice that it recently updated Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence. The new edition is dated 12/5/17 and starting 2/19/18, USCIS will only accept the 12/5/17 edition. USCIS also updated Form I-129CW, Petition for a CNMI-Only Nonimmigrant Transitional Worker. The new edition is dated 12/11/17 and starting 2/19/18, USCIS will only accept the 12/11/17.

USCIS posted a notice that it recently updated Form I-102, Application for Replacement/Initial Nonimmigrant Arrival-Departure Document, and starting 1/12/18, will only accept the 10/19/17 edition.
November 8, 2017
USCIS posted a notice that it recently updated Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, and starting 1/2/18, civil surgeons must use the 10/19/17 edition.
October 31, 2017
USCIS posted a notice that it recently updated Form I-821, Application for Temporary Protected Status. Starting 12/30/17, USCIS will only accept the 10/19/17 edition.

USCIS posted a notice that it recently updated Form I-601, Application for Waiver of Grounds of Inadmissibility. The new edition is dated 08/21/17. Starting 10/27/17, USCIS will only accept the 08/21/17 edition. Until then, stakeholders can use the 12/23/16 edition.
USCIS also updated Form N-426, Request for Certification of Military or Naval Service. The new edition is dated 07/25/17. Starting 10/27/17, USCIS will only accept the 07/25/17 edition. Until then, stakeholders can use the 08/04/15 edition
August 14, 2017
USCIS posted a notice that the following forms have been updated:
- Update to Form N-4, Monthly Report Naturalization Papers. New edition dated 08/01/17. You may also file using these previous editions: 10/26/15, 01/22/13 and 11/09/09.
- Update to Form G-1450, Authorization for Credit Card Transactions. New edition dated 08/04/17. Starting 10/13/2017, we will only accept the 08/04/17 edition. Until then, you can use the 08/06/15 edition.
- Update to Form I-854, Inter-Agency Alien Witness and Informant Record. New edition dated 07/13/17. Starting 10/13/2017, we will only accept the 07/13/17 edition. Until then, you can use the 03/13/15 edition.
August 4, 2017
USCIS posted a notice that it recently updated Form I-821, Application for Temporary Protected Status. The updated edition is dated 12/23/16. A new edition of this form is coming soon. In the meantime, stakeholders may file using the 12/23/16 or 2/20/14 editions.
July 24, 2017
USCIS posted a notice that it recently updated Form N-565, Application for Replacement Naturalization/Citizen Document. The new edition is dated 6/13/17. Starting 9/22/17, USCIS will only accept the 6/13/17 edition. Until then, you can use the 12/23/16 edition.
July 17, 2017
USCIS posted a notice that the following forms have been updated:
- Update to Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification. New edition dated 07/17/17. Employers can use this revised version or continue using Form I-9 with a revision date of 11/14/16 N through 09/17/17.
- Update to Form I-730, Refugee/Asylee Relative Petition. New edition dated 05/30/17. Starting 9/15/17, we will only accept the 05/30/17 edition. Until then, you can use the 04/09/15 edition.
June 28, 2017
USCIS posted a notice that the following forms have been updated:
- Form I-526, Immigrant Petition by Alien Entrepreneur. New edition dated 05/30/17. Starting 8/28/2017, we will only accept the 05/30/17 edition. Until then, you can use the 04/10/17 edition.
- Form I-589, Application for Asylum and for Withholding of Removal. New edition dated 05/16/17. Starting 8/28/2017, we will only accept the 05/16/17 edition. Until then, you can use the 12/29/14 edition.
- Form I-687, Application for Status as a Temporary Resident Under Section 245A of the Immigration and Nationality Act. New edition dated 06/20/17. Previous editions accepted.

USCIS posted a notice that it recently updated Form G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance. The new edition is dated 9/26/14 and the previous edition can also be used.

USCIS posted a notice that the following forms have been updated:
- Update to Form I-508F, Request for Waiver of Rights, Privileges, Exemptions, and Immunities for French Nationals New edition dated 05/26/17. Starting 08/14/2017, we will only accept the 05/26/17 edition. Until then, you can use the 03/31/15 edition.

USCIS posted a notice that the following forms have been updated:
- I-829, Petition by Entrepreneur to Remove Conditions on Permanent Resident Status: New edition dated 04/21/17. Starting 07/24/2017, we will only accept the 04/21/17 edition. Until then, you can use the 05/07/15 edition.
- G-639, Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act Request: New edition dated 04/17/17. Starting 07/24/2017, we will only accept the 04/17/17 edition. Until then, you can use the 03/31/15 edition.
- I-612, Application for Waiver of the Foreign Residence Requirement (under Section 212(e) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as Amended): New edition dated 04/24/17. Starting 07/24/2017, we will only accept the 04/24/17 edition. Until then, you can use the 12/23/16 edition.

USCIS posted a notice that it recently updated Form I-929, Petition for Qualifying Family Member of a U-1 Nonimmigrant. The new edition is dated 4/13/17 and the previous edition can also be used.

USCIS posted a notice that it recently updated Form I-881, Application for Suspension of Deportation or Special Rule Cancellation of Removal (Pursuant to Section 203 of Public Law 105-100 (NACARA)). The new edition is dated 3/21/17. Previous editions can also be used.
April 24, 2017
USCIS posted a notice that it recently updated Form I-407, Record of Abandonment of Lawful Permanent Resident Status. The new edition is dated 3/31/17. Previous editions can also be used.
April 14, 2017
USCIS posted a notice that it has extended the grace period for previous editions of Form I-918, Petition for U Nonimmigrant Status. The original USCIS notice stated that the cut-off date for accepting previous versions was 5/12/17. USCIS will now accept previous editions until 10/2/17. On 3/21/17, AILA and ASISTA submitted a letter to USCIS requesting that it accept prior editions through 12/31/17 as this change will place hardship on many U visa applicants.
April 11, 2017
USCIS provided notice that new editions of the following forms were posted: Form I-129F, Form I-290B, and Form I-526. For these three forms, the new editions are dated 4/10/17, and starting 6/9/17, USCIS will only accept the 4/10/17 version.
USCIS provided notice that a new edition of the following form was posted: Form N-648, Medical Certification for Disability Exceptions. The new edition is dated 3/21/17 and previous editions will be accepted.
