CBP announced the opening of an 80,000 square foot soft-sided temporary processing facility in Tucson, Arizona, to provide additional processing capacity for Border Patrol’s Tucson Sector.

CBP Opens Temporary Processing Facility in Yuma, Arizona
CBP announced the opening of a temporary soft-sided facility in Yuma, Arizona, to process individuals in Border Patrol custody. The 90,000 square foot facility sits on five acres of the Yuma Sector Facility and is meant to provide additional processing capacity for Border Patrol’s Yuma Sector.

CBP Opens Temporary Processing Facility in Eagle Pass, Texas
CBP announced that it has opened a soft-sided facility in Eagle Pass, Texas to provide additional processing capacity for Border Patrol’s Del Rio Sector. The 90,000 square foot facility sits adjacent to the Eagle Pass South Station, which houses the Del Rio Sector Central Processing Center.

CBP Opens Temporary Processing Facility in Donna, Texas
CBP announced that it has opened a soft-sided facility in Donna, Texas, to process individuals in CBP custody. The facility was built to provide processing capacity for the Rio Grande Valley Sector while the permanent Centralized Processing Center in McAllen undergoes renovation.

CBP Opens New Temporary Holding Facilities in Texas and Arizona
CBP announced that it opened new temporary holding facilities in Donna, Texas, in August, and in Yuma, Arizona, in June. Another facility in Tornillo, Texas, will open on 8/9/19. The two new facilities in Texas can hold up to 4,500 single adults. The facility in Yuma is designed to hold 500 people.

CBP to Open Temporary Facility in Response to Sustained Large Volumes of Family Units in Yuma, AZ
CBP announced the opening of a new facility in Yuma, Arizona. The soft-sided facility will accommodate up to 500 individuals in U.S. Border Patrol custody while they await transfer to ICE or ORR. The temporary structures are weatherproof and climate-controlled.

CBP Expands Temporary Holding Facility in Donna, Texas
CBP announced that it’s expanding its temporary holding facility near Donna-Rio Bravo International Bridge in Donna, TX, to hold an additional 500 people. CBP said that the expansion is in response to rising numbers of unaccompanied children (UAC) and family units arriving at the Southwest border.

CBP to Construct Four Additional Temporary Structures in McAllen and Rio Grande City
CBP announced it will construct four temporary structures at both the McAllen and Rio Grande City Border Patrol stations in order to provide additional shelter for individuals awaiting their turn to be processed.

CBP Opens West Texas Facility to Process Border Crossers
CBP announced that in response to an upsurge in border crossers along the Southwest border, it has opened the Tornillo-Guadalupe, Texas, Temporary Holding Facility. The facility, at the CBP Tornillo-Guadalupe Port of Entry, can hold up to 500 people and will be in place for 30 days.
