Department of State Generative AI Playbook
In July 2026, The Department of State published a Generative AI Playbook. DOS says the Playbook functions as a guide for U.S. government agencies developing and scaling enterprise AI solutions, with a focus on generative AI technology. The Playbook was published by DOS shortly after the AILA Practice Pointer: The Changing Terrain of Consular Adjudication—AI, Opacity, and What Practitioners Must Understand.
