DHS Notice of Employment Authorization Extension for Syrian F-1 Students
DHS notice that the suspension of certain requirements governing employment for F-1 nonimmigrant students from Syria who are experiencing severe economic hardship as a result of the civil unrest in Syria has been extended. The extension of the suspension applies to students who lawfully obtained F-1 status by 9/9/16. The notice is effective 3/15/18 and will remain in effect until 9/30/19. (83 FR 11553, 3/15/18)
