DHS Fraud Alert: DHS OIG Hotline Used in Scam to Obtain Personal Information

DHS OIG issued a warning that its hotline telephone number has been used as part of a telephone spoofing scam. The perpetrators represent themselves as employees with “U.S. Immigration” and alter caller ID systems to make it appear that the call is coming from the DHS OIG Hotline telephone number.
