DHS OIG Releases Report on “Alligator Alcatraz,” Finds Health and Safety Standard Violations

The DHS Office of Inspector General (OIG) released a report from an unannounced inspection of ICE's Florida Soft-Sided Facility, known as “Alligator Alcatraz”, in January 2026. OIG found the facility did not comply with environmental health and safety, special management unit, medical care, food service, personal hygiene, and recreation standards.
