DOJ and the CFPB Issues Joint Statement that Immigration Status May Not Be Used to Discriminate Against Credit Applicants

DOJ and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) issued a joint statement reminding financial institutions that all credit applicants are protected from discrimination on the basis of their national origin, race, and other characteristics regardless of their immigration status.
