DOJ Sues Minnesota State and Local Government Entities Over Sanctuary Policies

DOJ has filed a lawsuit against the state of Minnesota, the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Hennepin County, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Hennepin County Sheriff Dawanna S. Witt alleging that their sanctuary policies are unlawful and interfere with federal immigration enforcement efforts. (U.S. v. Minnesota, et.al., 9/29/25)
