DOL Publishes Budget-in-Brief for FY2027 Budget Request

DOL published the budget-in-brief for its FY2027 budget request. The request includes $10.7 billion in discretionary budget authority for a total budget of $52.8 billion. Of note, the budget includes plans to remove OFLC from ETA and instead make it an independent agency directly under the Secretary. OFLC would assume U and T visa work currently designated to OSHA and broader migration policy coordination currently managed by the Bureau of International Labor Affairs, receive $2 million more in funding, and add 10 FTEs. WHD would see a decrease of $25 million in funding.
