SUBJECT: FRENCH GUIANA NOW PART OF EMBASSY PARAMARIBO'S
CONSULAR DISTRICT FOR NIV AND IV PURPOSES


1. Pursuant to 22 CFR 41.101 and 22 CFR 42.61, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Visa Services has designated all of French Guiana to be part of Embassy Paramaribo's consular district for purposes of issuing nonimmigrant and immigrant visas. French Guiana previously formed part of Embassy Bridgetown's consular district for visa purposes. Both posts have agreed to this change.

2. Posts should keep a copy of this cable for reference until they have verified that Appendix C reciprocity tables on the Intranet have been updated. Posts are reminded that the reciprocity tables shown in Appendix C on the Intranet (http://CAWEB/RECIPROCITYWEB/INDEX.HTM) reflect the most up-to-date Departmental guidance.
