2. Representatives of the American Immigration Lawyers' Association (AILA) are coming to SA-1 on Thursday, March 22, 2001 for the quarterly VO-AILA meeting. As posts are aware when we ask for background about AILA's questions, the lawyers are not bashful in raising questions and concerns about the processing of visas at our Foreign Service posts. This meeting is also our opportunity to raise issues about the interaction of AILA members and their clients with our consular sections. We invite you to submit any questions you have along these lines to us. When possible we can also pass these along prior to the meeting so that AILA can have the opportunity to provide us answers as well.

3. If posts have any issues that they would like CA/VO to raise with AILA during this meeting, please send them by e-mail to Patrick R. Quigley, CA/VO/F/P, (202) 663-1082.

The sooner we have your questions, the better, but anything submitted after COB, Tuesday, March 20 will be too late to make the agenda items.
