EOIR press release with an update that as of 9am, on May 19, 2014, their electronic databases are functional again but that they are continuing recovery efforts on other applications including eRegistration. Although the case information hotline (800-898-7180) is also functional, the hotline is limited to providing information recorded in the electronic database, which EOIR staff will continue to update until all case information is current. To date, EOIR has not lost any data and continue to finalize restoration of those applications most critical to internal and external stakeholders.

EOIR continues to experience outages on the case information hotline (the 1-800 phone number) and eRegistration due to a hardware failure. Immigration courts are still operating on their normal schedule, but some cases may be continued. The BIA is continuing to process cases each day but is prioritizing its caseload to compensate for reliance on manual processes.
