EOIR Rescinds Policy Memorandum That Rescinded and Canceled Policy Memo on Case Processing at the BIA

EOIR Acting Director Sirce Owen issued a policy memo rescinding and canceling the 3/17/21 Policy Memorandum (PM) 21-16, which had rescinded and canceled the 10/1/19 PM 20-01 entitled “Case Processing at the Board of Immigration Appeals.” The memo notes that the rescission of PM 21-16 does not revive PM 20-01, and it remains rescinded and canceled. The memo states that “additional guidance regarding Board management and leadership may be forthcoming.”
