Executive Order Restricting Birthright Citizenship Based on Specific Parental and Location-Based Factors

The President issued an Executive Order denying birthright citizenship to children with a parent the government deems an “alien enemy”, foreign government employee, or to have “engaged in a commercial transaction to purchase birthright citizenship”, as well as children born in certain U.S. territories or waters for which Federal statute does not grant citizenship.
