Federal Judge Blocks DHS From Ending TPS for Haiti

A federal judge blocked the Department of Homeland Security from ending temporary protected status (TPS) for Haiti early, as announced in the Federal Register on 7/1/25. U.S. District Judge Brian M. Cogan held that DHS Secretary Kristi Noem cannot terminate a TPS designation before the expiration of the most recent extension. For Haiti, that extension expires on 2/3/26.
