Federal Judge Issues Class Certification and PI Blocking EO on Birthright Citizenship

A federal judge granted certification to a nationwide class of children born in the U.S. and issued a preliminary injunction (PI) against EO 14160, which seeks to end birthright citizenship. The ruling follows a Supreme Court decision limiting nationwide injunctions in response to injunctions issued in three cases against the EO, Trump et al. v. Casa et al., Trump et al. v. Washington et al., and Trump et al. v. New Jersey et al..
