FY2023 H-2B Cap Count

USCIS announced that it has received enough petitions to reach the congressionally mandated cap on H-2B visas for temporary nonagricultural workers for the first half of FY2023. September 12, 2022, was the final receipt date for new cap-subject H-2B worker petitions requesting an employment start date before April 1, 2023. USCIS will reject new cap-subject H-2B petitions received after September 12, 2022, that request an employment start date before April 1, 2023.

USCIS updated its H-2B cap count for the first half of FY2023, stating that it has received 29,574 beneficiaries toward the 33,000 cap for the first half of FY2023, with 24,947 approved and 4,627 pending.

USCIS updated its H-2B cap count for the first half of FY2023, stating that it has received 14,001 beneficiaries toward the 33,000 cap for the first half of FY2023, with 7,530 approved and 6,471 pending.
