AILA and the Council Issue Joint Comment on DHS Interim Final Rule regarding Electronic Immigration Bond Notifications

In response to the DHS issuing an interim final rule to permit ICE to provide immigration bond notifications electronically to obligors as part of its shift to a fully electronic bond payment process, AILA and the Council submitted a joint response highlighting the need for clarity, issues with the electronic system known as CeBONDS, and recommending ICE continue to permit bond payments in person.
