New Edition of Kurzban's Immigration Law Sourcebook Released

NASHVILLE, TN - The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) is proud to release the 13th edition of Kurzban's Immigration Law Sourcebook at the 2012 AILA Annual Conference.
Immigration law in the United States is not "user friendly" to say the least, but Kurzban's Sourcebook guides users through the labyrinth of immigration law with clear and concise explanations. Called the immigration law "Bible" and "the workhorse of immigration law," Kurzban's is used by immigration practitioners, judges, and government officials for comprehensive and comprehensible analysis of U.S. immigration laws. The book is also regularly cited in federal court decisions.
The 13th edition offers information on more than 2,000 new published and unpublished cases, regulations, and memos, as well as coverage of issues such as prosecutorial discretion, I-9 violations, H-1B and EB-5 visas, developments in the revocation of visas and passports, state laws and federal preemption, and new H-2B regulations.
"In the past two years, an astounding number of new regulations, statutes, and rulings have taken effect with a tremendous impact on immigration law," said Ira J. Kurzban, the book's author. Ira J. Kurzban has been a renowned and highly respected member of the legal community for more than three decades. During his brilliant career as an immigration law specialist, Mr. Kurzban has argued before the U.S. Supreme Court and successfully litigated many significant federal cases concerning the rights of aliens. He has received numerous prestigious awards and honors for his tireless work on behalf of immigrants, including the Lawyers of America Award for his work on behalf of human rights in this hemisphere, and the 2002 AILA Edith Lowenstein Memorial Award for excellence in advancing the practice of immigration law.
Today, Mr. Kurzban is an adjunct faculty member, teaching immigration and nationality law at the University of Miami School of Law and the Nova University School of Law. He also is a partner in the law firm of Kurzban Kurzban Weinger Tetzeli & Pratt, P.A., of Miami. Mr. Kurzban received his J.D. and M.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
