NSC Advises on How to Get Approval Notice or Other Response By Express Means

8/17/04 AILA Doc. No. 04081760.

An applicant or petitioner who wants the Nebraska Service Center to send an approval notice or travel document, or to return correspondence or documents to them by express mail (e.g., FedEx, UPS, or DHS) must provide a prepaid express mail return envelope with their application or petition. If the requester's billing information is not provided, the correspondence or document will be sent to the applicant or petitioner via United States Postal Service regular mail.

Requesters are also encouraged to annotate their applications or petitions "Express Reply Service Requested" or words to that effect. The annotation may be written in colored ink at the top or bottom of the front page of the application or petition, or provided in any other reasonable manner that attracts attention with the exception that this annotation may not be written in the Agency Use areas of the front page of the application or petition. Post-it notes and similar devices are discouraged since they may become separated from the application or petition.
