Presidential Memorandum Mobilizes National Guard, Federal Law Enforcement to Memphis

On 9/15/25, President Trump issued a memorandum establishing a “Memphis Safe Task Force” to deploy federal law enforcement officers to Memphis, Tennessee and mobilizing the National Guard to assist in their objectives. Immigration enforcement is one of the task force’s priorities.
