Senator Leahy Urges USCIS to Further Delay Unnecessary Staff Furloughs

Senator Patrick Leahy, Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, sent a letter urging DHS and USCIS to further delay “the unnecessary furloughs” that over 13,000 USCIS employees face on 8/30/20, despite the agency “projecting to end the fiscal year with a sizeable carryover balance.”
