South Texas Man Pleads Guilty for Wire Fraud and Masquerading as an Immigration Officer

Rito Salomon Palacios, of Laredo, TX, pled guilty in district court for wire fraud and extortion under color of official right. Palacios masqueraded, at varying times, as an immigration officer or federal employee, and defrauded immigrants with promises to deliver visas, permits, or U.S. residency.
