USCIS issued a policy alert (PA-2026-09) on revised Policy Manual guidance on the public charge ground of inadmissibility following the rescission of the 2022 final rule. The revision provides guidance on making public charge determinations and the public charge bond process. The guidance is effective 9/18/26.
