USCIS Policy Alert on Transition to Electronic Payments

Important Update
USCIS will no longer accept paper-based payments, including checks and money orders, after October 27, 2025, with limited exceptions. Please note that, due to inconsistencies in USCIS's initial communications about this change, earlier communications from AILA stated October 28 was the last day for paper-based payments; however, USCIS has confirmed to AILA that only electronic payments will be accepted beginning on October 28.
USCIS updated its policy to accept electronic payments though filing Form G-1650, Authorization for ACH Transactions, with applications, petitions, or requests. Starting October 28, 2025, USCIS will only accept ACH debit transactions using Form G-1650 or credit card payments using Form G-1450.
