USCIS Releases Affirmative Asylum Procedures Manual Due to FOIA Lawsuit

AILA member David Cleveland shared USCIS’s Affirmative Asylum Procedures Manual (AAPM) released due to a FOIA lawsuit brought by the Louise Trauma Center. The AAPM covers the procedures asylum officers follow and will be helpful for asylum attorneys to consult. This AAPM references sources as late as June 8, 2023, indicating that it is dated in June or July of 2023.
