Comments due by 8/10/17. The original effective date of the rule was 7/17/17. DHS will also issue a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking soliciting comments on a proposal to rescind the rule pursuant to Executive Order 13767. (82 FR 31887, 7/11/17)
Note: DHS is not delaying the effective date with respect to one minor provision of the rule adding the Form FS-240, DOS Consular Report of Birth Abroad, to the list of acceptable documents for Form I-9 verification.
