H.R. 3711: Legal Workforce Act

The House Judiciary Committee conducted a markup of the Legal Workforce Act (H.R. 3711) on October 24, 2017, at 10:00 am (ET) and October 25, 2017, at 11:00am (ET), along with the Agricultural Guestworker Act (H.R. 4092).
On 10/19/17, Representative Smith proposed an amendment in the nature of a substitution to H.R. 3711.
On 9/8/17, Congressman Lamar Smith (R-TX) introduced the H.R. 3711: Legal Workforce Act, which would institute mandatory E-Verify over a period of 24 months.
