OFLC Announces Webinar on H-2B Application Process on 6/17/26
The Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC) posted the following announcement:
June 4, 2026. OFLC Announces Webinar on June 17, 2026, to update Stakeholders on the H-2B Application Process for Start Dates of October 1, 2026, or later.
The Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC) invites stakeholders to participate in a webinar covering best practices and helpful tips for preparing H-2B Applications for Temporary Employment Certification (Form ETA-9142B and appendices) during the three-day filing window of July 3–5, 2026, for applications requesting a work start date of October 1, 2026. This three-day period is the earliest an employer may file an application for an October 1, 2026, start date — the first day of the semi-annual visa allotment for the first half of Fiscal Year 2027. The webinar will cover:
- Regulatory timeframes and filing requirements for H-2B applications with a start date of October 1, 2026, or later.
- Procedures OFLC uses to randomly select H-2B applications for review and processing.
- Helpful tips and reminders to avoid deficiencies during the application process.
This webinar will be recorded and posted to the OFLC website along with presentation materials for future reference. Please note there is a 1,000-participant limit. If you experience audio difficulties when joining by computer, use the phone dial-in details below.
