The Case for Protecting Legal Immigration Against Recent Attacks

5/24/18 AILA Doc. No. 18050235.

FWD.us provides a report examining the regulatory and policy actions taken by the Trump administration to dramatically restrict the number of people able to legally enter the United States, and to make it difficult for individuals already here to stay and continue contributing. Among the regulatory changes discussed include the delayed implementation of the International Entrepreneurial Rule, elimination of work authorization for H-4 visa holders, increasing restrictions on Optional Practical Training and eliminating the DACA program, among others. The report makes the case for why lawmakers should protect and expand current immigration levels, and work to pass commonsense immigration reform that provides a pathway to citizenship for the nearly 11 million undocumented immigrants currently living in the U.S.
