USCIS Updates Filing Location for Form I-192 and Form I-765 for Applicants Filing Based on U Status

USCIS announced that starting August 31, 2020, Form I-192, Application for Advance Permission to Enter as a Nonimmigrant, and Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, filed in connection with a Form I-918, Petition for U Nonimmigrant Status, will be filed at the Nebraska Service Center in addition to the Vermont Service Center. Petitioners should determine which service center to send their forms based on their residence.

USCIS will allow a 30-day grace period for petitioners to file forms at the previously designated service center. The grace period will run through October 14, 2020. After that date, USCIS may reject any Form I-192 and Form I-765 and all related forms sent to the incorrect service center.
