CBP final rule adding preclearance stations in Halifax, Canada and Shannon, Ireland. CBP officers at preclearance stations conduct inspections and examinations to ensure compliance with immigration and other laws. This rule is effective 12/8/09. (74 FR 64601, 12/08/09)
CBP Notice on Requirement for Persons Making Payment by Check to CBP to Provide TIN
CBP notice that all persons making payment to CBP by check must provide their Taxpayer Identifying Number (TIN) when paying CBP. The TIN should be written on the face of the check to facilitate payment processing. (74 FR 63761, 12/4/09)

CDC Final Notice on Vaccination Requirements for U.S. Immigration Purposes, Ends HPV Vaccine Requirement
Effective 12/14/09, CDC will require vaccinations explicitly listed in INA § 212(a)(1)(A)(ii) and for other ACIP-recommended vaccinations for the public, CDC will begin requiring only those where public health need exists at time of immigration. (74 FR 58634, 11/13/09)
