On October 24, 2013, the CIS Ombudsman's Office hosted its Third Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., which brought together participants and stakeholders to discuss the common goal of improving the delivery of immigration and citizenship services.
The conference included the following PowerPoint presentations:
- Innovations in Immigration Legal Services Delivery - A PowerPoint presentation addressing technological innovations in the effective and efficient delivery of legal services.
- CUNY Citizenship Now! - A PowerPoint presentation discussing outreach efforts to provide free immigration legal services, specifically naturalization assistance.
- Changes in I-601/I-601A Waivers: Background, Eligibility, and Process - A PowerPoint presentation addressing waivers before and after I-601A provisional waivers were introduced, including the latest receipt, approval, and denial statistics from the NBC.
- SAVE from the State of Maryland perspective - A PowerPoint presentation discussing challenges with the SAVE state policy and implementation, including the use of different documents for verification.
