DHS Notice of Modification of “Alien Criminal Response Information Management” System of Records
DHS notice of the proposed modification and renaming of the "DHS/ICE-007 Alien Criminal Response Information Management (ACRIMe)" system of records. This system of records allows DHS to receive and respond to criminal history and immigration status inquiries made by federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies and other federal agencies. The name of the system of records will now be "Criminal History and Immigration Verification (CHIVe)." The update adds individuals seeking approval from HHS to sponsor an unaccompanied minor and other adult members of potential sponsors' households as a category of individuals covered by the system of records.
