2013 Senate Immigration Bill (S. 744)

The “Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act” (S. 744) was introduced by Senator Schumer (D-NY) and was co-sponsored by a bipartisan group of U.S. senators known as the “Gang of Eight.” Members of the Gang of Eight include: Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO), Senator Richard J. Durbin, (D-IL), Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Senator John McCain (R-AZ), Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ), and Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL).

On 6/27/13, the Senate voted 68-32 in favor of the “Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act” (S. 744).
