USCIS Final Rule on Affidavits of Support on Behalf of Immigrants
USCIS final rule adopts, with specified changes, an interim rule published by the former INS on 10/20/1997 regarding the affidavit of support. This final rule clarifies several issues raised under the interim rule and is effective 7/21/ 2006. (71 FR 35732, 06/20/06)
DOS Proposed Rule on Hague Convention Certifications and Declarations

DOS Final Rule on Technical Nomenclature Changes Due to Creation of DHS
DOS published a rule, effective June 15, implementing technical nomenclature changes to Title 22 CFR parts 40, 41, and 42 to properly reflect the creation of DHS. This rule also reflects changes to form numbers on various visa-related forms. (71 FR 34519, 6/15/06)
